How Safe The Flight Is ?
It is said that the Lukla airport is the most hazardous in the world. To put things in perspective, though, during the busiest time of year, roughly 20 to 30 planes arrive in Lukla each day, and nearly all of the 30,000 hikers who come to the region each year take flights there. It’s statistically riskier than a normal commercial airport, but it’s still quite safe. Since the previous passenger airplane tragedy occurred in October 2008, airlines and aviation authorities have tightened their rules on acceptable flight conditions and requirements for traveling planes. We will assist you in arranging with the helicopter firm and reimburse you for the price of your plane ticket when you return to Kathmandu if you choose to go this route. What is the baggage Limit for the flight to Lukla ?

Trekking from Jiri: You can go overland through Jiri to reach Everest Base Camp if you would rather not take the plane to Lukla. Prior to his supervision of the airport’s construction in 1964, this route was the only one taken by Sir Edmund Hillary’s expedition.
In addition to a lengthy bus ride from Kathmandu, this route includes roughly five days of strenuous hiking as you make your way through the remote and mountainous regions of rural Nepal on foot.

Hike out to Salleri: From Lukla, it takes two exhausting days of hiking to get to Salleri, from whence you may take a jeep to Kathmandu, which is a 10- to 14-hour drive on somewhat uneven terrain.

Helicopter to Paphlu: If helicopters are scarce, they might only be able to transport visitors to Phaplu, an airport near Salleri that is lower in the valley.
