Day 01: Arrive Paro, drive to Thimphu (D)

Upon arrival in Paro, clear customs and immigration. Your guide will accompany you throughout your trip in Bhutan, will meet you at the Paro International Airport. You will travel by car from Paro to Bhutan’s capital, Thimphu.

It takes around an hour and thirty minutes to go from Paro to Thimphu, and the road provides breathtaking views of the Himalayan Mountain range and charming valleys. Your guide will provide fascinating details about Bhutan’s history, culture, and customs while you travel the picturesque route.You will check into your accommodation and take some time to relax after you get to Thimphu. You can meander through the city in the evening to sample some of the delectable Bhutanese food and discover the local markets.

Day 02: Thimphu Sightseeing

Visit the National Memorial Chorten, a stupa erected in memory of Bhutan’s third king, first thing in the morning. One of Thimphu’s most recognizable monuments, this stunning building is a well-liked attraction for both locals and visitors.

Next, proceed to Tashichho Dzong, a fortress-monastery that houses the Je Khenpo (Bhutan’s main abbot) in summer and acts as the country’s seat of government. A must-see sight in Thimphu, the dzong is a striking illustration of traditional Bhutanese architecture.
After touring the Tashichho Dzong, head to Buddha Dordenma, a huge statue of Buddha Shakyamuni perched on a hill with a view of the city.

Changangkha Lhakhang: Located on a hilltop overlooking Thimphu, this temple dates back to the 12th century and is a great place to learn more about Bhutanese Buddhism. Locals frequently visit this temple to pray and receive blessings for their newborn children.

Traditional Medicine Institute: A trip to the Traditional Medicine Institute is a fantastic approach to gain more knowledge about the traditional medical techniques that are well-known in Bhutan. Day 03: Thimphu – Paro

Bhutan’s capital is Thimphu, whereas Paro is a charming hamlet in the Paro Valley that is well-known for its natural and cultural charms. By road, it takes approximately one and a half hours to travel the approximately 55 kilometers between Thimphu and Paro.

The famous Paro Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) Monastery, the National Museum of Bhutan, the Rinpung Dzong fortification, and the Kyichu Lhakhang temple are just a few of the well-liked destinations to see after you get to Paro. Spend the night at the hotel.

Day 04: Paro – Depart

After breakfast, transfer to the airport in time for your departure flight to onward destination.
