Bardiya National Park is a wildlife protected area in Nepal. This national park was built in 1988 as Royal Bardia National Park that Covers an area of 968 km2 (374 sq mi); which is the largest and most undisturbed wilderness area in Nepal’s Terai region; which is adjoining the eastern bank of the Karnali River in the Bardiya District.

The 4 days Bardia National Park tour provides an opportunity to explore the protected area which is home to endangered animals and birds such as the Royal Bengal tiger, wild elephant, Greater one-horned rhinoceros, swamp deer, and black buck,gharial-crocodile, marsh mugger and Gangetic dolphin, Bengal florican, lesser florican and sarus crane. More than 30 different types of mammals, more than 230 species of birds and several species of snakes, lizard and fish have been recorded in the park’s forest, grassland and river. In addition to the resident species, many types of migratory birds visit the park.

DAY 01: Arrival in Bardia National Park (1300m/4264ft) A representative from HSA will pick us up from the Nepalgunj airport then 2 hours drive(90km)to Bardia National Park.Check in at jungle resort then take a tour of an authentic Tharu village.Later,visit the Bardia National Park visitor center and tour its crocodile farm. Overnight in Bardia National Park. Day 2: Bardia National Park After breakfast,we go for jungle walk accompanied by a nature guide and porter.Bardia National Park is home to 30 different mammals, over 230 species of birds and several species of snakes, lizard and fish. Afterjungle tour, we return back to our resort and enjoy dinner and take part in the traditional Tharu dance in evening.Overnight in Bardia National Park. Day 03: Bardia National Park After breakfast, we drive to Chisapani, a village located over the Karnali River for float safari to experience the rivers and wildlife of western Nepal.Throughout the journey we get to opportunity to explore the beautiful sub-tropical landscapes and wildlife.Karnali River as the river is home to endangered Gharial crocodile, marsh mugger and gangetic dolphins.This trip is also good for bird-watching.Overnight in Bardia National Park. Day 04:Final Departure After breakfast,we go for an interesting elephant-back safari to see rhinoceros, several species of deer, monkeys, sloth bear, wild boar, spotted leopard,tiger as well as other lesser mammals, birds and reptiles.After the safari, a HSA representative will drop us off at the Nepalgunj airport.
