Marshyangdi River Rafting from the northern slopes of Annapurna in Marshyangdi is an unforgettable experience. If you are planning for rafting in Nepal, then Marshyangdi River rafting might be a suitable option for you. Its rapid grade ranges from 3 to 4 so it offers quite a good rafting adventure during your river trips. Rapids are a bit technical on this river in comparison with big volume rivers, so you might need to use a different approach for an encounter with rapids and fast reaction within crew members. Late 1996 is the beginning of rafting on this river. Whitewater rafting is quite famous in Nepal throughout the entire world, as it has the Marshyangdi River to offer. Your whitewater rafting packages in Marshyangdi River start from Nagdi. Nagdi is a nearby gateway for the world’s famous and widest high passes of Thorong La, i.e. Annapurna Circuit Trek.

Day 2: Your trek starts from Khudi to Ngadi.

After breakfast, we will trek to Ngadi. All rafting equipment will be set up, till then you will be having your lunch. Your raft leader will train you briefly on safety and paddling. Pay attention to details and follow strictly as the section of the rivers is very rapid and can’t afford the chance of committing any mistakes. At Bhulbhule, we will encounter super rapids which will be a thrilling experience. After finishing our raft for today, we will return to Khudi and have our dinner.

Day 3:  Start rafting trip from Khudi and raft up to the sandy beach below Besisahar.

From today you have to be prepared for bumpy, super, and challenging rapids which will keep continuing from the start. The beautiful surroundings, lush jungle, and water flowing from steep mountains forming a river while rafting is amazing. You have to run on these rapids and tackle the intense whitewater rafting for the next 5 hours. Lunch will be provided en-route and then continue to walk down to the camping site on the sandy beach. Camp near the sandy beach and spend a night there.

Day 4: After having breakfast, we will be prepared to rafting.

The whole river is clasped between vertical walls at Phaliya Sanghu. After crossing certain parts of Phaliya Sanghu, the rapids become wider and more powerful creating excitement for the rafting. We end the day at Bhotewodar, where we camp on the banks in the cave of a Shiva temple.

Day 5: We will begin today from Bhotewodar where the river is smooth and the surrounding scenery of vegetation and birds chirping makes it wonderful.
