The Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) has reached an agreement to undertake the construction of a remarkable new trail called the ‘Buddha Himal-Himalchuli Great Lake Circuit Trail’. TAAN collaborated with the local governments of Gorkha, Lamjung, Dordi, and Marsyangdi. This trail will serve as a vital link, connecting Ajirkot Village Municipality in Gorkha with Dudhpokhari, Dordi, and Marsyangdi Village Municipalities in Lamjung.
All locals are excited as this exciting project is set to open up fresh possibilities for all such as new trek routes and income-generating sources. Trekkers will also have a unique and thrilling adventure across the breathtaking landscapes of Manaslu and Annapurna. TAAN has a rich legacy of 45 years in the mountain tourism sector. It has played a pivotal role in the development of tourism across various regions in Nepal including Dhading’s Ruby Valley to Gorkha’s Tsum Valley.
Furthermore, TAAN has partnered with Lamjung, Dordi, Ajirkot, and Gorkha’s local governments to lead this trail construction project. They showed their commitment by promising to initiate the construction work without delay. They also assure to seek support from the provincial and central governments to ensure the smooth execution of the project.
The Chief of Ajirkot shares the vision of transforming Ajirkot’s Bhachek Bazaar into a prominent entry point and hill station for the newly constructed trail. Likewise, the Chairman of the Marsyangdi local government also vows his full cooperation in linking the new trail and the Manang district.
The newly established trail encompasses fascinating natural and cultural attractions such as Nage Pokhari, Dudh Pokhari, Lipey Lake, Meme Pokhari, Baraha Pokhari, and Thulagital.
