Instead of selling me an itinerary impossible to accomplish, he curated a beautiful trip through the magnificent Himalayan nature, with elements of culture and relaxation in-between – no gimmicky tourist traps, just the best of what Nepal has to offer.
From Kathmandu I was taken to Pokhara by plane, where lodging was arranged in an excellent 5-star resort, before starting our trek into the mountains the day after. The route we journeyed was breathtakingly beautiful, with varied nature and quick lunch and coffee breaks in charming villages along the way, before reaching our vantage point at Australian Camp.
On our way back I was shown a few temples and given time for contemplation, and taken through some smaller, quieter towns, offering a different pace than the big cities. Back in Pokhara Bishnu guided me to the local culture, and showed me some very fine causes close to his heart – especially the Tibetan refugee camp struck a chord with me.
I’m forever grateful to Bishnu and Himalayan Sanctuary Adventure, for showing me a good time in Nepal, and for being the gentle and kind soul that he is. I’m proud to now call him an friend.
