The logistics were seamless — from airport pickups to domestic flights, hotels, and meals — everything was sorted without us ever needing to worry. A huge part of what made this trip so special was our guide, Bishnu.
He’s one of those people who genuinely cares — not just about logistics, but about how you’re doing each day. He made sure we were adjusting well to the altitude, kept checking in on us, and was always happy to adjust the plan to suit our pace and comfort. Little things, like offering us fruit each evening, really made us feel looked after. What stood out most was Bishnu’s honesty and the level of trust he built from day one. Everything was clearly explained upfront and remained consistent with the itinerary — no hidden costs, no surprises.
It was obvious that his goal wasn’t to upsell or rush us through the trek, but to give us a meaningful and enjoyable experience. You could really feel his pride in sharing the mountains and his culture with us. Some of the most memorable parts of the trek weren’t just the insane views, but the downtime — the chats over dinner, the shared stories, the laughs after a long day of walking. Bishnu’s warmth made the whole thing feel personal and grounded.
Our route took us through Phakding, Namche Bazar, Dole, Machhermo, and Gokyo — each destination presenting its own unique charm with evolving landscapes. The pinnacle was an unforgettable sunrise hike up Gokyo Ri, blanketed in snow. We ended the trip in Kathmandu with a traditional dinner and cultural performance, which was such a beautiful way to wrap things up. The price for the whole package was very fair, especially for the unreal level of care, personalisation and attention we received. If you’re planning a trek in Nepal, I can’t recommend Himalayan Sanctuary Adventure and Bishnu enough. You’ll be in great hands.
