Tamang Heritage Trail and Langtang Valley Trek
Tamang Heritage Trail was once an unexplored part of the Langtang National Park. It allows you to venture deep into the Tamang hinterland. Tamang Heritage Trail and Langtang Valley Trek take you through the verdant midlands and into Tamang villages, including Bridim and Gatlang, where you will have a chance to immerse yourself in the local culture.
Originally, the Tamang people were Tibetan horse traders who migrated back and forth between Tibet and the lowlands of Nepal. They are also one of the oldest ethnic groups of Nepal, with roots tracing back to the ancient people of Mongolia. This trek also takes you through alpine terrain, meadows, and rhododendron forests, taking in soaring views of the Manaslu Massif, Ganesh, Langtang, and Jugal Himal.
We offer several other treks in Langtang Region, such as 7 days Langtang valley Trek, 15 Days Langtang Gosaikunda Trek, 16 Days Langtang Gosainkunda Helambu Trek, so feel free to Get In Touch with our Expert Trek planners for Customized and Personalized itineraries
