Drive to Changu Narayan. visit the famous Changunarayan temple. The ancient temple of Changu Narayana is located on a high hilltop that is also known as Changu or Dolagiri. The temple is surrounded by forest with champak tree and a small village, known as Changu Village. The temple is located in Changu VDC of Bhaktapur District, Nepal. This hill is about 8 miles east of Kathmandu and a few miles north of Bhaktapur. The Manahara River flows beside the hill. This shrine is dedicated to Lord Visnu and held in especial reverence by the Hindu people. This temple is considered as the oldest temple in Nepal. Start  gentle hike from the village  to Telkote near Nagarkote hill (approx. 4 hrs walk).

The first part is more natural as the trail follows the ridge rich with deciduous forest. The Himalayas appear in the distance totally remote and undisturbed. The walking is easy with gradual uphill. The trail later goes through the terraced fields via Tamang Village.

Nagarkot hill, situated 2175m above sea level, Nagarkote is a popular tour and hill destination of Nepal. It is famous mountain views. Five of the world’s 10 tallest Mountains: Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8516m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Makalu (8463m) and Manaslu (8163m) along with many other lesser summits can be viewed from this place (during clear weather). The place is surrounded by the terraced hillside and most beautiful scenery.

After an early breakfast in Kathmandu  drive you to the Changu Narayan Temple, where we spend about half an hour before we start the day hike.The Changu Narayan temple is the historic temple found till date in Nepal and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu which is listed by UNESCO as World Heritage Site. On the way to the Changu Narayan is temple of ancient statues and pulchritude art crafted . The Changu Narayan Temple is an administrative center of Mandev Malla. The temple is an earlier temple of Nepal made in Pagoda Style. It is the venue for many religious and cultural ceremonies like Jatras, melas and others. Since the ancient period, many festivals and fairs have been held here on various occasions. It is also known as the open museum. The site is enlisted on the World heritage Site by UNESCO. Four and half hours of trek from the Changunarayan Temple brings you up to the scenic Nagarkot (2,200m/7,200ft). It’s a unique and relatively adventurous trek. It is considered to be the most scenic spot and is well-knownfor its spectacular sunrise and sunset view. From this site, many of the Himalayan peaks including Annapurna in the west, Kanchenjunga in the east can be observed. If we are fortunate enough to have clear weather, even Mt. Everest can be seen. It also offers an excellent view of Mt. Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang as well as Indrawati river valley in the east. As described by its visitors this is the place whose beauty endures year round. Nagarkot is popular for a stunning sunrise and sunset view and is one of the most popular hill stations. Situated at an altitude of 2100m from the sea level and 32 km from Kathmandu this small hill station provides spectacular view of the northern mountain, sunrise, and sunset. we will pick you up from Nagarkot at the end of the trek and take you to Bhaktapur Darbar Square on the way back to Kathmandu. After Bhaktapur nearly an hour drive back to Kathmandu
