For the past fifteen years, Ganesh Amgain has been guiding trekkers through Nepal’s diverse and scenic Himalayan trails. Growing up in the village of Bongkot, Gorkha,

He developed a deep understanding of the surrounding mountains and the local way of life, which has greatly enhanced his ability to lead treks across the country.

Ganesh has led numerous groups to popular trekking regions such as Langtang, Manaslu, Everest, and Annapurn. He is a certified and highly qualified Trekking guide, trained by the Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM). Additionally, he has completed wilderness first-aid and eco-tourism training through the Kathmandu Environmental Educational Project (KEEP). His expertise, coupled with his warm and understanding nature, makes him especially skilled at guiding senior citizen groups and families with young children.

Sociable and adaptable, Ganesh excels at managing both experienced trekkers and beginners. He is incredibly organized, able to quickly resolve any issues that arise during a trek. Outside of guiding, Mr. Amgain enjoys nature hikes and discovering new locations. In his free time, he often escapes to the mountains for relaxation and to reconnect with nature.
