Balthali Village Hike is a short hiking trip and suitable for people who have limited time; also want to go to the higher Himalayan destination. This hike is suitable for people like businessmen, elderly people, family group etc. and also for a family trip in Nepal. Balthali Village Hike offers fantastic journeys, exceptional hamlet stands at an outstanding place of isolation and relaxation amidst a surround of typical Nepali countryside with terraced rice fields and ochre thatched farmhouses.

Balthali village (1730m) is a beautiful settlement located 40 Km away from Kathmandu. It lies at the intersection of the Roshi and Ladkhu Rivers. The Balthali hiking trip is also a natural trip to explore the spectacular green hill views, the northern Himalayas including Mt. Everest along with sunrise and sunset views.

The settlement of the Balthali village is really traditional and attractive. Here the houses are of pagoda style with different colors. The surrounding location is full of green farmlands and forests; the backside is the high hills of lush green Maharabharat Range. The forests are also covered with colorful rhododendron, pine and Saal trees. Balthali village hike leads through the beautiful tourist destination Dhulikhel, historical Namobuddha monastery and several ascending and descending on the foothills. Namobuddha bears an interesting history of a princes sacrifice to fulfill the hunger of a tigress and her cubs. These attractions are also very fabulous in your hiking holidays in Nepal.

Start your 4.5-hour trek upon arrival in Chisapani, entering the spectacular Shivapuri National Park. Established in 2002, the park provides panoramic views of the jagged peaks of the 2nd highest mountain in the Kathmandu Valley, as well as an abundance of pine and oak forest flora, fed by the fertile watershed landscape.
Along the way, you will come to the village of Mulkharka, home to the traditional Tamang people. Descend the mountain trails to Chisapani, where you will check in to your overnight lodge accommodation.

Wake to see the heart-stopping snow-capped mountain views to the north. After breakfast, start your 2.5-hour trek to Chauki Bhanjag, where you will pause for lunch with the mountains of the north as your backdrop. The afternoon, 3-hour descent takes you to Nagarkot, where on a clear day you can see the Himalayas stretching from Dhaulagiri in the west all the way past Everest to Kanchenjunga in the east.
